Club History
Our club was formed on 15th November 1989 by a group of ladies enthusiastic to flower arranging. (Any early photos?
Barbara Harris, National Chairman of NAFAS, 2005-7, is a member of the club. Barbara is now the Sussex Area Vice President. She visited WAFA in South Africa and has arranged flowers in Westminster Abbey and Westminster Cathedral. (Can someone add to this and/or rewrite? Any photos?) Teaching and judging. Queen Mother's funeral. Training judges for WAFA in Pakistan.
Pam Gibson, current Sussex Area
Chairman, is also a member of our club. Pam has arranged
flowers in Westminster Abbey. She has also run flower
arranging classes and workshops for the club, and has been involved
with several club flower festivals, including our up and coming
festival this August. (Again, can someone do a proper
write up? Any photos?)
At the Bournemouth National Show in ????, 2 club members, Kate Lemar and Joan Lawrence gained a 2nd in the Club Class. (Title? Any photos? Didn't Kate win a 1st at the area competitions in about 1996/7/8? Kate chairman in 19?? to ????.
The club has arranged flowers at Worth Abbey, Michelham Priory and Christs Hospital.

In 2002 the club held a Flower Festival, entitled "Revelations", and in 2005 our title was "A Moment in Time". Click on the buttons below to view pictures from the festivals.
